Flat Ground, Very Little Fall
Across most of Ontario there is limited natural grade to work with. Added hardscape or a new pad can strand water against a foundation, so grades get shot and a drainage path designed before anything is poured.
Former Dairy Preserve Ground
Ontario Ranch and the south of the city sit on what was the dairy preserve. Organic-rich soils and buried agricultural infrastructure mean overexcavation and recompaction are sometimes the correct answer rather than an upsell.
A Century Apart, Two Miles Apart
North of Holt along Euclid there is original 1910s and 1920s framing with undersized footings. South of the 60 the pads are engineered and barely a decade old. The same scope is not the same job.
